Dr. Siegel is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Harvard Medical School; serves on the Board of Directors and is faculty for the Institute for Meditation and Psychotherapy; is author of The Mindfulness Solution: Everyday Practices for Everyday Problems, co-author of Back Sense: A Revolutionary Approach to Halting the Cycle of Chronic Back Pain and Sitting Together: Essential Skills for Mindfulness-Based Psychotherapy; and co-editor of Mindfulness and Psychotherapy, 2nd Edition.
The Mindfulness Solution: Everyday Practices for Everyday Problems
Mindfulness is not a one-size-fits-all remedy. Researchers are now differentiating the effects of focused attention, open monitoring, loving-kindness, compassion, and equanimity practices. This keynote will explore important decisions when introducing mindfulness in working with different needs. In addition, Dr. Siegel will offer mindfulness practices to the attendees during his keynote address.
